How long does it take to learn to type with your hands?

You have complete control over the number of lessons, exercises, and writing tests you complete. The full fundamentals course takes between 6 and 10 hours to finish. Complete only the first two units of Lessons 1–10 if you prefer a shorter course. The position of the alphabet keys on the keyboard is taught in the first two sections of Lessons 1 – 10. You can opt to finish each lesson unit in its whole or just a portion of each unit before moving on to the next lesson.

I'm not sure how long I should practise every day?

Because touch-typing is a cumulative motor skill, it's best to practise every day or every other day. It is also critical to develop solid keyboarding abilities throughout the course. As a result, accurate touch-typing should be practised as often as possible, ideally for at least 15 minutes each day. This isn't always doable, though.

Because individual differences in motor skill development are so vast, it's impossible to define clear minimum and maximum limitations for a keyboarding session. However, in general, short periods of practise provide greater outcomes than extended sessions. Daily practise sessions should last anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour for optimal outcomes.
